The walk begins near the National Monument for Miners.
It continues on a portion of the red lands cycle path.
Arrived at a place called “Fliegerdenkmal”, you
can see the monument of the English aviators, then you enter the wood which offers beautiful panoramas on the treetops as well as a pleasant walk in the heart of the forest.

Departure and arrival are near the National Monument for Miners.
Marking of the hike:
It seems possible to park at the top of rue Notre-Dame in Kayl… but we were able to observe the presence of bollard on the road. Access may be closed on certain occasions. Some places are also available in the surrounding streets.
There are no picnic tables, but you can rest on benches along the track.
